No option to allow apps downloaded from anywhere

If you do decide to permit apps from unidentified developers, then Apple won't allow you to launch all applications from unidentified developers, without so much as apps, then you can enable this (risky) “Allow apps from anywhere” setting:.

1 Dec 2019 Apple really, really wants you to download apps from the App Store so they've made it difficult to the Security & Privacy settings and choose to allow apps downloaded from anywhere. But on macOS Sierra that option is gone.
